Q. Do you allow Pets at your properties?
Sorry but we don’t allow pets at any of our properties.

Q. We would like an earlier check in (or a later departure) – will this be possible?
Whenever possible, we always try to accommodate our guests requests for an earlier check in or a later departure but it depends on our cleaning schedule and whether we have others guests departing on your arrival day or new guests arriving on the day you are departing. We ask our guests to give us as much notice as possible (by email, text or phone) if they would like an earlier check in or later departure and we will make every effort to accommodate this, but there are also occasions where it won’t be possible.

Q. Is there parking available at the property?
We have off street parking for 2 cars at 147 By The Sea – our 2 bedroom ground floor flat. We have off street parking for at least 3 cars at No.3 By The Sea – our 3 Bed Bungalow. The only property that doesn’t have any off street parking is Brierley The Garden Flat, however, parking is usually fairly easy on the road outside the flat – and there are no permits, restrictions or parking charges.

Q. Are we allowed to have a party at the property?
Unfortunately we don’t allow any parties or large gatherings at any of the properties. We also don’t allow hen weekends or stag weekends at our properties and we ask that if you are booking for a wedding party (bride and bridesmaids) to stay at our properties prior to the wedding, that you inform us of this before making a reservation.

Q. I’m working in the area, will you consider renting your property to me on a regular basis?
Yes, we very often have business people, contractors and consultants who stay at our properties on a regular basis. Please contact us directly (call us or send an email) and we can discuss the length of stay, rates and availability.

Q. Is there a BBQ at the property?
I’m afraid none of our properties have BBQ’s for health and safety and insurance reasons.

Q. Do you provide transportation to and from the Airport?
I’m afraid we don’t offer an airport pick up or drop off service however, we have the contact details for a range of companies that can offer this service. We can put you in touch with the local taxi firms, car hire companies or a private chauffeur service. All our properties are conveniently close to train stations so we can also give you the names of the nearest train stations so you can check the routes on public transport.

Q. What do you provide in the properties?
A. The properties are very well equipped with all bedding and towels provided. In addition we also provide shower gels, shampoo, soap, toilet rolls, cleaning cloths and cleaning items, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and a well stocked coffee bar (with Nespresso machines, aeroccino’s, cafetière’s and coffee percolator’s as well as tea coffee, sugar and milk). We have hangers for your clothes, hairdryers in all the properties and an iron and ironing board. We also have an extensive list of baby equipment – we would ask you contact us to discuss what baby items you might require so we can select age appropriate items.

Q. I would like to bring my bike do you provide any safe storage for bikes?
At 147 By The Sea there is a porch area within the house where bikes can be stored safely. At Brierley The Garden Flat we have a lockable brick built outhouse at the rear of the garden that again you are welcome to use. Unfortunately No.3 By The Sea doesn’t currently have any bike storage but we are looking to add a secure bike shed to the garden for 2020 (but please contact us first so we can update you on the progress regarding this).

Q. How far in advance can we book your property?
The properties calendars are usually open for bookings up to a year in advance. But we can also consider bookings more than a year ahead, please contact us directly with dates and length of stay and we can discuss availability and rates.

Q. How old do you have to be to book and stay at your property?
You must be 18 to book our properties and there must be at least one person that is aged 18 or over staying at the property at all times.

Q. Are your properties suitable for people with restricted mobility?
147 is a ground floor flat with all the accommodation on one floor only (the ground floor). There is a gravel path the front door then there is a single step up into the flat. Once inside, there is a long but fairly narrow hallway and the floors throughout are wood. There are two showers in the flat – each with a small step up into the shower. Overall, we believe 147 would work well for people with mobility issues (who can’t climb stairs or use a bath) but not for people that require wheelchair access.

Brierley the Garden Flat is also a ground floor flat that you access via a solid concrete pathway, entry into the flat requires stepping up one step – but it is a fairly high step. There is also the possibility of entering the flat via the back door which has a lower step in to the flat. This takes you directly into the kitchen. Once inside, the flat is all on one level . Again, the hallway is fairly narrow but there is a shower that has only one step up into it and a conservatory that requires you to step over a slightly raised threshold. There is a very slight step down into the garden from the conservatory- but it is a very small step. The garden is slightly uneven throughout so careful navigation around the garden is recommended. Again, we believe this property would suit guests with mobility issues but it wouldn’t be suitable for guests that require wheelchair access.

No.3 By The Sea is a bungalow so again it is ground floor one level accommodation. There is a paved path to the front door with a small step up into the porch and through to the hallway. There is an ensuite shower room that has a shower that you need to step into (not a wet room). There are 2 toilets – one very close to to living areas and one in the ensuite shower room. There is a spacious open plan living and dining area that leads to the garden. A small step down is required to take you form the kitchen to the garden. The garden is all on one level with no steps or paths to navigate. We consider that No.3 By The Sea provides excellent accommodation for guests with mobility issues although again, it would not be suitable for guests that require wheelchair access.

Q. Do you have High and Low Season prices and when are your High and Low Seasons?
We aim to offer good value for money and believe we charge a fair price for our accommodation throughout the year. We do have High and Low Season pricing which is shown on the calendar. High Season runs from April 1st to Oct 31st and Low Season starts November 1st to March 31st. The only exception to our low season pricing is at Christmas and New Year which carries a slightly higher tariff.

Q. Why are the prices different on your website to the prices on the online booking websites where you’re also advertising your properties?
The online booking websites charge a percentage – like an introduction fee (which is often called a service fee or administration fee). When you come to us directly you obviously don’t incur this online fee so the total price for your holiday will almost certainly be less if you book with us directly.

Q. Do you charge a cleaning fee?
Yes, we do charge a cleaning fee. It is calculated and charged per stay (it is not included in the price per night that you see on the calendar). The charge varies from property to property – (see cleaning charges below). The cleaning fee covers cleaning and laundry costs. Q. What is the minimum number of nights we can stay at your property?
A. This varies between High and Low Season and depends on which property has been booked. Generally in Low Season (between 1st November – 31st March) the minimum number of nights you can stay at the properties is 2 nights. In High Season (between April 1st – October 31st) the minimum number of nights you can stay is 5 nights – however, because we are flexible on the days our guest can arrive and leave (we don’t have set arrival and departure days) we may have a shorter number of days that guests can stay that become available between bookings and so we may alter the calendar to accept 2, 3 or 4 day bookings during this time too.

Q. Do you have a self check in policy in at the properties?
A. We do allow self check in at all our properties, although we can also be on hand to meet our Guests in person. Guests that opt for self check in will be sent a code to the key safe at their chosen property so they can retrieve the key from the key safe and let themselves in. The key code numbers are changed regularly for security.
